Hostel Split

Hostel Split Mediterranean House is a family owned hostel located in the heart of Split’s historic city centre. Much like the old city, the house itself invites you to feel the buzz of the old Mediterranean spirit.

This project is a text-book example of how a simple web site can be transformed into a great and memorable story-telling experience. We conducted simple guerilla user research in the form of reading testimonials and browsing through endless vacation photo albums.

After we learned about how young people — the typical guests of the hostel — usually spend their time in Split, we illustrated a collage of motifs and situations we experienced through the supplied pictures. The client was thrilled! The only complaint was from a party-going visitor who said they would need more than 30 minutes to get back to hostel.
